Last night in Japan
Wow. Two years goes by so fast. I have had such an amazing experience here. It is almost 3am now, and I leave in about 14 hours. Sumi is sitting on the floor by me, and Sakura is running around. I'm staying with Theo and Shogo for my last night. I have been out of my apt since the 30th, and I had been staying with one of the English teacher's and his family. It was my first home stay, and they are a wonderful family.
I will write a few more posts about Japan because I didn't have enough time in the last few weeks.
I don't think I've ever had to say goodbye to so many people before. All the students, teachers, and friends I have made here. Even the owner of my favorite restaurant, Kaya, made me pinky swear I would come back and visit.
There are many things I will miss here. People keep asking what I liked the best. It is a hard thing to answer because I don't think I have just one thing. But the main thing is how I have grown as a person. I feel more confident and comfortable with myself. I feel all the experiences of living, traveling, and teaching abroad have had such a positive effect on me.
I am sad to leave here, but excited for what will come next.

I'm so proud of you, Leilani! Your experience is one that will continue to impact your life...and through your blog it impacted many more people than you'll know. Whenever I tell people about my friend who's been in Japan teaching, traveling, and exploring...there's much interest. Keep living life fully! I hope to see you when you're down!! :)
