Loco Moco

A few weekends ago, I went to a restaurant called “Loco Moco,” about a 20 min bike ride from my apt. Once a month they have a group come and perform, and this month they had hula dancing too. The dancing and music were pretty good. They are from Osaka. They played a few songs which my group knew (not me yet) so they danced a little too. The area that they were playing and dancing in was very tiny, so the pictures are really close up.
Oh, but the food was awful! I ordered “Hawaiian Rice,” which turned out to be “Taco Rice,” which is white rice topped with taco seasoned ground beef, lettuce tomato, a raw egg, and processed cheese. This is what passes for Mexican food here, and it is killing me! And I guess I was getting my hopes up too much with the Hawaiian food!
