Orientation

Here we are at the first orientation with all the JET's from all over the world. There are about 1,400 that came from the US alone. We listened to lots of speeches and I attended seminars on travelling and tips on the elementary classroom. I found out this morning that I will be in some elementary schools as well as middle schools. I'll be doing what they call "one shot's" which means that I'll visit a school only a couple of times and do things like a self introduction.

I see land!

After 12 hours on the plane, I finally catch my first glipse of my Japan. The flight went well, and the food was surprisingly good. I opted for the beef curry rather than the eel teriyaki. I'll be adventerous later! As we landed, we were a little lopsided and bounced around a bit, but otherwise it was a smooth flight.
